Play your long game as you will have done to get to this part of the game - depending of course on your chip stack as talked about in other articles dont let yourself drip out of the game.

Patience at this stage = cash - most of the other players at your final table will have 1st place on their minds , forget this thought

What we are here to do at this stage is make some easy money first as there will undoubtably be some reckless play from some if not all of your opponents at this stage - especially anyone holding a few to few chips.

For the first 1/2 hour or so I would pass any cards that didnt meet the early starting hands mentioned - AA - AK - KK - KQ - QQ - JJ .

You have no need to play and can sit and absorb a few blinds as your opponents do battle - every time one is knocked out you get a big pay day for doing nothing more than watching. By adopting this very patient strategy you can really make that trip to the final table pay off.

If you get any of the cards above than play big even if that means scaring off possible bigger wins as your strategy at this table is to make the next place not to win or go bust in a clever move gone wrong or get caught out by luck .

Steady play early on in the final table can lift you 2 or 3 places before you get going to go for gold and that can mean hundreds if not thousands of pounds more for no extra work/ability or luck.
