Hole cards worth playing against a pre flop all in raise by your opponent
| Either
you go all in or you call which puts you all in. It
greatly changes which hands you want to be holding ,
depending on which one of these situations arises. Also
it must be noted here that this is the bare bones and
that many other factors should determine when you do or
dont go all in such as position , how may people have
called the origional hand , if there has been a raise and
how may people are left at your table not to mention any
nuances you have picked up from your fellow table mates
during the game. So for this exercise we will pretend that everthing else doesnt matter and just look at whether or not either no one else is all in or they are as to what hands I would play with. If no one is all in and you have: AA
AK
KK
These are the only hands I would put all my chips in the middle for and only if no one had gone in before me up to my turn to bet pre flop If you are calling an all in and it will put you out or nearly out of the tournament to do so then I would only call with AA
KK
This is because in my experience most times i call an all in in an online game the other player turns over something like : AK
AJ
JJ
Small pp like 99
If you only call others all ins with those hands above then statistically over time you will come out on top. Now as mentioned above this is in a control enviroment where no other factors would influence you - in a real game you might suss out someone for having a tendency to go all in on j 10 if this is the case then loosen up your strategy accordingly to fit with the game your in obviously. |
