Phil Laak - " The UnaBomber "

| Nicknamed
the “Unabomber” for his uncanny resemblance to
the terrorist with the name, Phil Laak is known as one of
the crazier and most unpredictable professional poker
players around. Laak learned to play poker on a camping
trip with family friends at the age of seven. He also
played in a weekly poker game while in college, but began
playing higher stakes about five years ago. He splits his
time between Los Angeles and San Francisco, California.
Laak has had a plethora of jobs in his life including an
engineer, a repossesser, a data storage and transfer
systems broker, a sports broker and now a poker player.
Laak won the “WPT Invitational,” placed fourth
in “WPT Bad Boys” and sixth in “Legends of
Poker.” His combined winnings for the three events
are $154,075 . |
