| Paul Darden of New Haven, Connecticut was the 2001 Seven Card Stud World Champion. He learned poker as a child by playing in the poker room at the back of his father’s pool hall. Prior to becoming a professional poker player, Darden was a successful hip hop music promoter and nightclub owner. He is known as a rather aggressive poker player.
