Layne Flack earned the nickname “Back to Back” because of his two consecutive World Championship victories. Born in South Dakota and raised in Montana, he began playing various card games through family barbeques as a kid. After graduating high school, Flack began working at a casino that offered video poker and a couple of poker tables. He became night manager after only six months and began playing poker in a neighboring casino before and after work. He then went off to college to study business and played poker at night to earn his way through school. At one point, he was earning so much playing poker that it became a better way to spend his time than pursuing a degree. Flack eventually moved to as Vegas and won the Hall of Fame No Limit Texas Hold’Em Tournament. In WPT tournaments, Flack won the “WPT Invitational” and placed second in the “World Poker Finals.” Between both tournaments, he won $286,900
